Microsoft has built a new layer of security into the new Windows Phone 7 and the applications available through the marketplace program which will enable the an application to be disabled remove entirely from a persons device without their consent. According to Microsoft’s director of product management, Todd Biggs, the Windows Phone Marketplace, in PC Pro, is a worst-case scenario security measure, and something that is unlikely to be a common occurrence given the company’s testing process prior to an app being made available.
