Microsoft has been forced to delay delivery of some Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 Professional Upgrade pre-orders due to a “product fulfillment issue”. Microsoft apologized to EMEA customers who had ordered Microsoft Visual Studio via the Microsoft online store ahead of its release last week.
Microsoft Corp. announced the general availability of Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 and .NET Framework 4 a week ago. Microsoft also announced that Silverlight 4 will release to Web (RTW) later in the week. Together, these technologies simplify the entire development process, enabling .NET developers to target new platforms and build high-quality applications. .NET developers will be able to download Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 and .NET Framework 4 in conjunction with the Microsoft Visual Studio Conference & Expo launch event in Las Vegas last week.
“We apologize for the inconvenience. The Microsoft Store is currently working through a product fulfillment issue related to pre-orders for the Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 Professional Upgrade product,” said the vendor.
“We will be able to provide you with a status update of by no later than April 19, 2010. In the meantime you can download a trial version of Microsoft Visual Studio Professional 2010 from www.microsoft.com/visual studio to start working with Microsoft Visual Studio immediately.”
Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 and .NET Framework 4 have something for every developer. The new editor, now using Windows Presentation Foundation, delivers a more flexible, feature-rich environment that supports concepts such as the use of multiple monitors. This enables a developer to have one monitor with code, another with the user interface designer, and yet another with database structure
