Cloud computing has been widely recognized for the massive potential and serious benefits it provides. With Apple, Amazon, Google and Microsoft all pushing cloud services, many businesses are waking up to the opportunities that are available via the cloud.
Consumers are not likely to understand how services such as Hotmail, or social networks such as Facebook use cloud computing, nor are they concerned about how Twitter, Foursquare and other sites use cloud computing to provide their services. Many business services, however, are delivered in a similar fashion. By investing in the cloud, businesses are no longer tied to hardware and continual software updates–the remote servers in the cloud eliminate the costs and time associated with those issues.
