Developers who are starting new long-term projects are faced with a hard choice? Do they go with C# or Objective C, focus on JavaScript or stay with good old fashioned C++? According to some experts, C++ should be your choice, and here’s why.


Your first clue is the language that operating systems themselves are created with–and that’s C and C++. While application programmers moved on to C# and .NET, Windows system programmers continued using C++ to create COM interfaces. The word is still out for Windows 8, but the Microsoft Visual C++ team has been very active lately, and there has been a hint that it may be “re-discovered” as WinC++, a new, yet old language.
