Not only did this years Professional Developers Conference attendees get a free Windows Phone 7, Microsoft also announced that all of its 89,000 employees will get one also. No word on whether Microsoft will be picking up the tab for the monthly voice and data plans as well. Of course Microsoft isn’t the first software author to give their teams a free copy of the os to which they will be selling and supporting. It makes good business sense and now joins the ranks of Apple and Google who did the same for their iPhone and Nexus One.
