Microsoft announced an update for the Kinect for Windows motion controller device called Kinect Fusion. This turns your Kinect into a 3D scanner, allowing users to pick up their Kinects and move them around any 3D object, anything from a person to an entire room or space, and instantly create a 3D model of it on their computer.
