The word nanolithography catches your attention. It caught mine. Nanolithography was used in a press release on nanotechnology in printing. I find that discussions on nanotechnology also catch my attention.
Nanolithography is simply a means of building (printing or fabricating) nanometer-scale structures. For example, it is used to print integrated circuits. According to Wikipedia, It is an area of active research.
While you might think that nanotechnology-enabled printing is not a big deal, it was estimated to total $14 billion (with a b) in 2013. It is expected to be just under $32 billion by 2018. That was $2.7 billion in the US alone in 2013.
