ARM Server Platform Gets Backing from Microsoft

Microsoft has been participating in the development of the new ARM Server specs suggesting that a ARM versions of their current product line such as Windows Server and Hyper-V may be in the works. This will enable software developers to begin creating products for ARM knowing that those new products will run smoothly on servers from a variety of manufacturers. Several other big players in the server marked have also signed on including Linux, Red Hat, Suse, Hewlett-Packard, Dell, as well as several chip vendors including AMD, AppliedMicro, Cavium and Texas Instruments and more.
