Australian Microsoft developers are paying 83 percent more than developers in the United States for access to Microsoft subscription services using the Microsoft Developer Network (MSDN) platform. Microsoft uses MSDN as a development platform with access to software repositories, tech support, hosted platforms and other developer tools.

By looking at Microsoft’s global pricing lists that are available online, you can see that Microsoft is charging Australian developers a standard amount of 83 per cent more than US developers to access MSDN, even though they do not use Australian-hosted services.
