Microsoft Adds the ‘Groups’ Colab Feature to Office 365

Microsoft ‘Groups’ is a new social networking feature based on Microsoft’s Yammer enterprise social networking acquisition. Subscribers to Microsoft’s Office 365 Business Plans will soon receive the new collaboration feature when they login, and at no extra charge. It’s being delivered to Microsoft’s “first release” testers initially and will then arrive over the course of “several months” to the remaining Office 365 subscribers. The entire rollout is expected to have completed by the end of the year. A rollout cycle which first-release testers receive the update about two weeks before other Office 365 subscribers which the details where originally explained back in June as part of Microsoft’s new roadmap program for Office 365 releases.
