Microsoft “Longhorn” Server Named

At the Microsoft WinHEC conference happening this week, Microsoft announced that Windows longhorn (server) has been named Windows Server 2008. Not only does this take the product out of a codename status, into a real name, but it also puts a date on the product of 2008. While many think this might yet be aggressive, time will tell. A public beta of Windows Server 2008 is available at:
