With only major bug-fixes pending prior to the full release to manufacturing, then sale and distribution, Microsoft will release the final updates consisting of primarily the final touches to already installed new features which are mostly related to responses to the prior beta tester feedback and a few minor improvements to the performance of the platform. Visual Studio 2012 is well on its way and in the final stages of the full release later this year. Microsoft is flaunting the flagship development suite as being not only more simplified but also a much more productive development environment for developers as they highlight the new support for collaborative and agile software teams. Microsoft promises that their new toolset will provide robust templates for developing applications using the Windows 8 “Metro-style” interface which is based on the new Windows Runtime (WinRT) programming model supporting development in C++, C#, VB.NET and JavaScript.
