Microsoft stated “In response to this emerging issue, we have temporarily taken down the latest software update for Samsung phones in order to correct the issue”. And as of yet, no official time frame has been offered as to when Samsung devices will be able to get the Windows Phone 7 update. The issue with the Samsung devices appears to be limited to the Samsung handsets running only a certain firmware version causing the embedded Zune software to crash.
