Although Microsoft was showcasing its full line of software and services at the GITEX Technology Week conference last week, cloud computing seemed to take center stage. Office 365 is Microsoft’s cloud service which serves up Microsoft Office, SharePoint Online, Exchange Online and Lync Online.
Microsoft’s SQL Server database, which is currently being called Denali, was discussed, along with Microsoft’s initial Azure Cloud Application Platform, which provides developers with on-demand computing and cloud storage for hosting and managing scalable web applications.
