Retirement Date for Windows XP Announced

Kevin Turner, Microsoft’s Chief Operating Officer announced today at the Microsoft World Partner conference in Toronto that Microsoft will officially retire Windows XP on the popular Operating Systems 15th Birthday, April 8th, 2014. “it’ll be put to sleep” Turner announced today. Over 400 million copies in use as of January 2006, XP was succeeded by Windows Vista in 2007, making XP one of Microsoft’s most successful versions of Windows ever. Read the full story here.
