Splashtop announced the release of Splashtop 2 for Windows RT. Business and personal users of Microsoft Surface tablets will now be able to access their computers either in a LAN environment or remotely via the Internet, enabling them to remotely run applications, view and edit files, watch HD movies and play graphic-intensive games. “Microsoft is excited to see Splashtop 2, the popular remote desktop software from Splashtop, released for Windows 8,” said Dave Miller, Sr. Director of Marketing at Microsoft. “Our teams have cooperated closely for several months, enabling Splashtop to optimize its software for Surface tablets and all Windows 8 devices.
