Last week was a busy one for Microsoft, as the company revealed more details about its upcoming Windows 8 operating system, suffered a cloud outage and continued its work to rival the ever-popular Android mobile operating system.
Features revealed about the Windows 8 operating system included discussion about support for Hyper-V, as well as faster boot times. A video that was part of the presentation showed a laptop that was running Windows 8 loading up in just over eight seconds–a substantial increase in bootup speed from any current Windows OS.
